Hola, my name is Anggie Pedraza-Watson, I work as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, I hold a certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), which means I specialized in Trauma, and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensization Reprocessing (EMDR) to process traumatic events.
I am a United States Marine Corps Veteran served for 4 years in the Armed Forces, I am Bilingual in Spanish, born in Venezuela, raised in Peru, and immigrated to the United States at age 15.
I received my master s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked providing counseling for young adults, couples, veterans, and adults experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, anger, self esteem, trauma, and marital issues. I will help you navigate through these issues and develop goals that can lead you to gain the skills needed to face what you think you can’t handle.
Years ago, I struggled with anxiety and depression and found healing through Christ, that s why I provide counseling services as I have been called to bring hope and His light to those who are still hurting in darkness by their struggles, and life difficulties.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11).
I see counseling as a process in which you, the client, and I, the Counselor develop an understanding to trust one another, to work as a team to explore and define present problems situations, to develop goals to improve your quality of life. At first it may seem like there is no way out or possible solutions, there is hope even when it seems there is none.
I utilize a variety of approaches such as Person-centered, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to process traumatic events, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and Gottman Method for couple s therapy.
