Lauri Sulewski, Counselor-In Training

Hello, my name is Laurie. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Texas, and I’m currently a graduate student completing my master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Texas A&M University. As a practicum student, I’m finishing my clinical hours for graduation and gaining hands-on experience to become a licensed mental health therapist. I’m currently under supervision as I provide counseling services for children, adolescents, and adults.

I’m here to help people navigate tough moments and discover their own strengths. My approach is laid-back and welcoming. I work hard to create a space where you can show up as you are, without fear of judgment. I believe everyone has resilience within them, and it’s my job to help you tap into that and move toward the life you want.

I draw from a mix of evidence-based therapies, including Adlerian, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I’m also trained in Sand Tray therapy, which offers a creative way to explore feelings and experiences. If you’re looking for faith-based support, I can offer Christian counseling upon request.

No matter your background or beliefs, I honor your culture, race, and life story. My goal is for every client to feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to walk with you on your journey toward healing and growth.
